All of our classes at Hogback Strength & Wellness are coach-led. These coaches dedicate their time outside of their everyday lives to help guide and motivate our athletes. Their training within the fitness realm-specifically within our Level Method programming- is extensive, and they all use different coaching styles based on their personalities.

Coach AJ started Hogback in early 2018 with hopes of creating a place where people can come together and be family. He started training back in 2010, eventually leading him to a coaching path by 2012. He took opportunities to immerse himself in the CF culture through dropping into gyms around the world and judging at CF events from Regionals to the Games since 2017.
When he's not at the gym, AJ is either teaching at Oregon Tech or working in our community. He loves spending time with his wife, kids, and friends.
Certifications include: CFL1, CFL2, CF Gymnastics, CF Endurance, CF Masters, Burgener Strength L1

As someone who didn't grow up as an athlete, the world of fitness was foreign to Coach Corilyn when she joined her first gym in 2017. Despite that, she fell in love with the community and the ability to push herself to new levels. Corilyn began coaching in Rhode Island in 2020 and joined the Hogback Strength & Wellness coaching staff in 2023. As owner of Anchor Nutrition & Wellness, Corilyn blends her passion for good food and fitness in her coaching.
Outside of the gym, Corilyn loves adventuring with her husband, pups and family, and often travels back to New England. Her favorite lift is split jerks, but she hates kettlebells.

Coach Amber is originally from Union, OR, but she's been coaching here in Klamath Falls for 4 years. Outside of the gym, she spends her days working as a PE teacher for grades K-6.
"Fitness has changed my life. I coach because I want to share that passion with others in order to help them build confidence, achieve goals, and realize their capabilities. The Hogback community is like no other, and I am honored and blessed to benefit from it as an athlete and coach."

Coach Nate began his coaching career in 2019. You can often find him training for a strongman competition or telling jokes to his classes. Nate's favorite movement is deadlifts, but outside the gym, he's a "tax guy," as he likes to call himself. Born and raised in "Klamtucky," Nate's coaching motivation is watching people crush a goal.
Certifications include: CFL1, CFL2

Coach Pat is our noon class guy! He hails all the way from Chicoutimi, Canada and has been coaching for four and a half years. Pat says he is "still looking ;)" for his job outside the gym, but we all know he's our go-to for all things tech...or research...or handyman work.
"I'm outgoing by nature and really enjoy connecting with people. Coaching gives me the chance to use that energy to encourage others and help them grow. I'm motivated by seeing people push past what they thought they could do." Coach Pat's favorite workout involves cleans and thrusters...put them together and you have a "cluster!"

Coach Kyle recently completed his coaching certificate in 2025 while also starting a new job at Union Pacific. His favorite movement is a squat clean, but he ditches the barbell in his favorite Hero WOD, Murph. Kyle is originally from Heppner, OR. His motivation to coach comes from helping people learn how to be the best version of themselves.
